AT tires (all-terrain tires) and MT tires (mud-terrain tires) are the two most commonly used types in off-road use. The core differences focus on pattern design, grip and road adaptability, and they need to be selected according to the main usage scenarios. The tread pattern of AT tires is between road tires and MT tires. It has moderate grooves and evenly arranged tire blocks, taking into account both off-road grip and on-road driving comfort. It makes less noise and wears slowly. It is suitable for most off-road enthusiasts and can handle non-paved roads, mild mud and daily commuting. It is a "universal model for all scenarios." MT tires have deeper and wider tread grooves, larger tire blocks and wider spacing, which can effectively discharge mud and stones, and have strong grip. They are suitable for complex scenes such as heavy off-roading, deep mud, rock climbing, etc. However, they are noisy when driving on the road, have high fuel consumption, poor comfort, and wear quickly, making them not suitable for long-term urban commuting. When choosing, if you focus on daily commuting + mild weekend off-roading, AT tires are preferred; if you focus on heavy off-roading and frequent complex road conditions, you can choose MT tires, or you can match two sets of tires according to your needs to take into account practicality and off-road performance.
